What is in the name Veblen Glazer?
Thorstein Veblen was a Norwegian-American economist and sociologist who introduced the concept of “evolutionary economics.” In his book “The Theory of the Leisure Class” at the end of the 19th century Veblen presented the evolutionary development of the social and economic institutions of society, wherein technology and the industrial arts are the creative forces of economic production.
Glazing (in some instances known as icing) is a covering poured on a food or a dish. From vegetables to cakes, varying from sour to sweet, a glaze covering is often seen as the final touch of a masterpiece. Perfecting a glaze, like most cooking, is a matter of formula – and often very delicate. The main difference between a glaze and a sauce is that glazes are applied to meat during the cooking process, while sauce is a condiment added only after cooking has completed.
